Job Description Summary:
CPS (Commercial Products Supply) is a key part of the Supply Chain within the Technical Function of The Coca-Cola Company. CPS manufactures concentrates and beverage bases for sale to bottling partners worldwide. This global organization manages a network consisting of 19 manufacturing plants in 18 countries, along with two office locations (Atlanta, USA & Drogheda, Ireland). CPS also oversees complex supply chains for additional materials (e.g., juice, coffee, tea, milk, etc.) on behalf of bottling partners.
Job Summary:
The Pakistan CPS (Commercial Products Supply) Plant, located in Lahore, supplies concentrate and beverage bases to the regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is a long-established concentrate and beverage base manufacturing plant that has been recognized as a strategic supply point for both domestic and export markets.
The General Manager, Pakistan CPS Plant, provides leadership and strategic direction for the Plant across all areas of Plant Management, including Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment), Finance, People & Culture, and Operational Excellence. This individual ensures continuity of supply to all markets serviced by the concentrate plant. The General Manager must guarantee the Plant has the necessary resources at all times under an approved annual business plan, ensure its timely execution, implement key programs, and ensure compliance with all KO (The Coca-Cola Company) standards and local regulations. The individual will collaborate extensively with key stakeholders (such as Operating Units, Local Technical Functions, and Bottlers) with a customer-focused mindset, while enhancing associate engagement across the workforce.
This position also plays a critical role in the CPS EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Leadership Team, driving strategic business initiatives across EMEA, with opportunities to contribute to global initiatives.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Play a key role as a leader of the Local Leadership Team, setting the strategic direction for the Plant, fostering a high-performance culture, implementing the long-term strategy, vision, and mission for CPS Pakistan.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction across Plant Management functions, including Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment), Finance, People & Culture, and Operational Excellence. A critical aspect of this responsibility is enhancing flexibility (aligned with TCCC's changing portfolio) and productivity for both current and future needs.
- Ensure lean-driven Operational Excellence as the cornerstone for driving productivity, value creation, and performance across all aspects of the business.
- Instil a culture of anticipation, prevention, and business management to deliver exceptional business results.
- Serve as the site leader for the Plant, taking responsibility for the local legal entity, including managing relationships with local regulatory authorities.
- Sets Plant’s annual business plan, implements key programs effectively to achieve it, and maintains compliance with KO Standards and local regulations. This requires utilizing standardized procedures, processes, technologies, and equipment while collaborating closely with other members of the Local Leadership Team.
- Foster collaboration with key stakeholders (including Operating Units, Local Technical Functions, and Bottlers) with a strong customer-focused mindset. Ensure a continuous supply at optimal cost, coupled with the highest levels of quality and service.
- Represent the Pakistan CPS Plant as part of the global General Manager community, ensuring alignment and standardization across CPS sites on various strategic matters.
- Lead and manage direct reports while offering inspirational leadership to a large number of indirect reports. This includes maintaining and enhancing employee engagement and ensuring the workforce's capabilities are consistent with current and future needs. Identify, develop, and nurture the next generation of local leaders through active performance management, coaching, continuous feedback, and participation in the People Development Forum (PDF) process.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- University Degree in Engineering and/or Business Management.
- Minimum 10–12 years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume, fast-moving consumer goods industry, preferably in Food/Beverage industries.
- Experience operating in progressive unionized and non-unionized plants across diverse locations.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering business results, including managing people and driving change within a supply chain environment.
- 5–7 years’ experience operating at a senior level in a multinational organization in both field and corporate settings.
- Exposure to R&D, Account Management, Supply Chain, and Finance is essential.
- Strong business acumen with experience in P&L management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in developing and executing local strategies in complex, matrixed businesses.
- Proficiency in English and the local language (verbal and written).
- Prior international experience is desirable.
