Job Description
Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement the IT vision and roadmap aligned with METRO’s global and country-level strategic objectives.
- Engage and align IT initiatives with commercial, finance, and digital strategies/KPIs.
- Lead the digital transformation agenda of METRO Pakistan.
- Ensure adherence to Group IT governance and security policies.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor the IT & IM budget, aligned with the cost allocation model.
Operations & Infrastructure
- Ensure availability and uninterrupted functioning of IT systems, services, and infrastructure across stores, head office, and supply chain facilities.
- Oversee device inventory management and efficient end-user support.
- Ensure IT risk management, data security, and business continuity in collaboration with international IT teams.
- Supervise and drive the execution of both local and corporate IT projects and ensuring timely delivery.
Applications & Data Management
- Provide technical guidance and support on METRO business applications, including data warehousing, BI tools, and financial reporting systems.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data for all business domains.
- Analyze, document, and align business IT demands with corporate systems, and propose solutions.
- Lead the deployment and optimization of corporate applications and IT/IM systems.
Vendor & SLA Management
- Manage external vendors and service providers and ensure SLA performance monitoring.
- Maintain strong partnerships with METRO international development and support teams.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, agility, learning, and innovation.
Reporting
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial and performance reports for regional and international IT teams.
- Oversee documentation and dissemination of SOPs for all IT processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.
Additional Information
Up to 10 years of experience managing IT/IM functions, preferably in a multinational retail or FMCG environment, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
