MID Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced
Lawyer (Legal Counsel) to provide legal support on a wide range of
corporate, labour, civil, and criminal matters. This is an independent
contractor position offering flexibility, structure, and the opportunity to
contribute to a U.S.-based construction company with international
compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel on matters related to
the following; Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and
jurisdictional regulations. Experience with digital law is a plus.
o Corporate Law
o Construction & Labour Law
o Civil Law
o Criminal law
Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and other legal
documents to ensure legal accuracy, enforceability, and alignment with
relevant legal standards and best practices.
Advise the Company on its legal rights, and obligations, and
recommend strategies to minimize legal and business risks.
Respond to legal inquiries and support internal and external teams on
regulatory, compliance, and governance issues across relevant
jurisdictions.
Prepare legal submittals, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)
(Legal), and assist in the negotiation or resolution of legal disputes.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all sensitive legal, business,
and proprietary information.
Perform other legal tasks or responsibilities as may be assigned by the
Company in alignment with evolving legal and business needs.
Work Requirements:
Must have a reliable internet connection and a distraction-free, private
working environment.
Mandatory use of Google Meet with an acceptable camera on during
working hours; the camera should be positioned at eye level showing
shoulders and chest.
Must be willing to share screens throughout the entire shift via Google
Meet for monitoring purposes. Screen sharing is mandatory during
working hours to ensure transparency, accountability, and task
validation.
Use of productivity tracker tools such as Hubstaff or Webwork is
required.
Participation in WhatsApp group for check-ins, meeting updates, and
attendance tracking:
o Use of designated chat codes ("IN", "BREAK", "OUT", etc.)
Maintain a clean background and quiet setting during meetings.
Use of a quality headset or external microphone.
Skill Requirement
Fluency in the English Language
Strong verbal Communication Skills, demonstrating an ability to
communicate with colleagues at all levels.
Strong presentation skills, with proven ability to articulate oneself in an
effective manner.
Advanced level of analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex
legal nuances.
Common Sense, commerciality and the ability to provide sound
judgment.
Passionate about Law with a positive, enthusiastic and proactive
approach to work.
Proven ability to function and excel independently as well as in a team.
Compliance and Monitoring:
The contractor waives privacy during working hours for the purpose of
time and productivity monitoring.
The contractor consents to webcam use and screen sharing via Google
Meet.
Qualifications:
Licensed Attorney, in their resident country, in good standing.
Minimum of 4 years of professional legal experience.
Strong understanding of US and Local Law.
Proficient in contract drafting and legal document analysis.
High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
Experience with remote work setups and time-tracking tools preferred.
Additional Conditions:
Must not engage with competitors or conflicting business interests
during the engagement.
Must disclose any existing commitments that may interfere with contract
duties.
Subject to company monitoring and compliance guidelines.
Violations (e.g., failing to log in, turning off camera, etc.) are tracked and
may lead to disciplinary action or termination.

Pay: Rs2,266.00 - Rs2,549.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
