As part of our growth trajectory, we are looking for a capable and experienced Manager Finance who will contribute to the financial integrity and operational excellence of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, compliance, and payroll processing, and will serve as a key support to the Head of Finance.
Job Purpose
The Manager Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing accounting records, evaluating financial performance, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supervising the payroll function. This role demands both a strategic mindset and attention to detail, as it requires working closely with senior management and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decisions, cost control initiatives, and operational improvements.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain internal financial reporting tools for decision-making by management.
- Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with departmental heads.
- Prepare monthly forecasts and rolling cash flow projections.
- Monitor and report on budget variances, investigate causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and asset register.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly and year-end accounts.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with applicable standards and internal controls.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
- Liaise with HR for changes in employee status, attendance, bonuses, increments, and terminations.
- Ensure correct calculation and disbursement of salaries, EOBI, gratuity, income tax, and other benefits.
- Maintain and audit payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns (income tax, withholding tax, sales tax, etc.).
- Coordinate with tax advisors/auditors for assessments, audits, and queries.
- Ensure full compliance with SECP, FBR, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws and accounting regulations.
- Monitor company’s cash flow position, banking transactions, and short-term liquidity.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly cash flow statements.
- Optimize working capital through effective receivable and payable management.
- Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Sales, HR, Operations, Supply Chain) for cross-functional processes.
- Present financial reports and insights to management and contribute to strategic planning.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (MBA Finance, M.Com, etc.)
- Professional qualification preferred (ACCA, CA (Finalist/Part Qualified), ICMA)
- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in a service or energy sector.
Key Skills & Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and tax regulations
- Strong command of MS Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP/accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs125,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
