About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack WordPress Developer with expertise in both front-end and back-end development, strong experience integrating APIs, and a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure like AWS). You will be responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining high-performance WordPress-based websites and applications with a focus on seamless UX/UI and reliable deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain advanced WordPress themes and plugins.
- Build secure and scalable solutions using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Integrate third-party APIs (REST, GraphQL, SOAP) and build custom APIs when needed.
- Translate design prototypes and wireframes into fully functional, responsive user interfaces.
- Ensure websites are optimized for speed, performance, security, and accessibility.
- Manage and optimize cloud-hosted environments, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Lambda, etc.).
- Monitor and manage application performance and error handling using cloud-based tools.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other developers.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain version control via Git, and follow best deployment practices.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack WordPress development.
- Advanced knowledge of PHP and WordPress core architecture (hooks, filters, WP_Query, CPTs).
- Strong JavaScript skills (vanilla JS and frameworks like React or Vue.js).
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and front-end build tools.
- Proven experience with RESTful APIs and custom API development.
- Proficiency in MySQL and managing scalable database solutions.
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub).
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Lambda, etc.).
- Familiarity with server management, performance tuning, and security best practices.
UX/UI & Design Knowledge:
- Ability to use design made in tools like Figma
- Strong knowledge of UX/UI principles and best practices.
- Experience delivering responsive, accessible, and visually polished front-ends.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality code.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with WooCommerce or headless WordPress (e.g., using REST API or GraphQL with React).
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum-based teams.
- SEO optimization and technical knowledge of schema.org markup.
