Introduction:
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for the betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit, both at the national and international levels.

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating core data management activities across multiple clinical trials and research projects. Requires close collaboration with investigators, data managers, analysts, developers, IT teams, and field staff to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, as well as effective coordination of issues and support needs
Specific responsibilities include to:
• coordinate and oversee data-related project activities across multiple clinical trials or health research projects
• develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking tools, and milestone schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks
• serve as the primary point of coordination between investigators, analysts, IT teams, and field staff to facilitate smooth data operations
• monitor project progress using task management tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent) and proactively address delays or issues
• coordinate and oversee data-related project activities across multiple clinical trials or health research projects
• develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking tools, and milestone schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks
• serve as the primary point of coordination between investigators, analysts, IT teams, and field staff to facilitate smooth data operations
• monitor project progress using task management tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent) and proactively address delays or issues
• monitor / supervise Data entry of collected forms from various sources such as paper documents, electronic entry systems, and handheld devices.
• organize discussions and meetings with project implementation and field staff for any clarifications/queries.
• train and support the ongoing development of analytic competencies among team of data analysts/data supervisors.
• provide support in arranging workshops/seminars.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Project Management, or a related field
• minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management or coordinating data management or research-related data activities, preferably within clinical trials or health research projects
• strong project coordination skills with demonstrated ability to manage timelines, track milestones, and ensure timely task completion
• experience using project tracking or task management tools (e.g MS Project, or equivalent) to monitor progress and coordinate teams
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with investigators, analysts, IT teams, and field staff
• good understanding of data flow processes, quality assurance practices, and documentation standards
• proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, for reporting and tracking.
