The Department of Oncology at Aga Khan University Hospital is a patient-centered comprehensive state-of-the-art cancer management facility. The main objective of the department is to provide first-class, leading-edge cancer services and it is equipped with 3 medical Linear accelerators, 1 HDR brachytherapy after loader, 1 conventional simulator, mold room and a PET-CT simulator.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- develop individualized plan of care and ensure implementation of the same through timely follow-ups
- incorporate theoretical concepts and advanced clinical skills into practice
- coordinate all processes for patient care and ensure timely delivery of all core processes
- participate in multidisciplinary rounds as applicable and plan patient care accordingly
- organize workload and set priorities appropriately
- ensure that all reportable cases are communicated to supervisor verbally and through shift reports
- quickly and appropriately respond in conflicts or crisis in patient care areas.
- teach and mentor new staff in the area and ensure that quality care is delivered to the patients
- coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of patient care
- assess patient care and acuity trends, plan and manage unit, make staffing arrangements and ensure availability of required supplies, equipment and other resources
Requirements:
You should have:
- a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school, preferably a Master’s degree in the same
- at least two years of nursing experience and a valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
- certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Safe Medication Administration, Aseptic Techniques, I/V Cannulation
- in-depth knowledge of health and safety measures
- excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
- ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently
- proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
- willingness to work in shift duties.
