Position: Assistant Manager - Data Center (Design & Planning)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager - Data Center (Design & Planning) to join our Infrastructure Sites & Facilities team. This role involves overseeing the design, planning, and operational efficiency of our data centers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and fostering continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define data center operations, including the development of Change Management procedures, SOPs, and related tools.
- Prepare BOQs, layouts, technical documentation, and RFPs.
- Manage data centers to ensure vendors meet service level agreements as per contractual terms.
- Develop and analyze energy-efficient solutions to minimize power losses.
- Conduct site visits for engineering studies, electrical system audits, and startup testing.
- Participate in Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures or power outages.
- Provide instructions to vendors and installation contractors while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all data center infrastructure, including power systems, cooling, fire alarms, and generators.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in data center or facility management.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, fire systems, and control systems.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively lead and inspire diverse teams.
- Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional) or DCM (Data Center Management) are a plus.
- Familiarity with power distribution, cooling systems, networking, and security will be advantageous.
