The DivisionHuntington Business Systems (HBS) is a leading provider of Time and Attendance Management Software for small, medium, and large organizations across various industries. HBS delivers a fully customizable cloud-based solution with outstanding performance and flexibility on the market today. The software can be tailored to meet the needs of complex payroll policies and other unique requirements to reduce organization costs and minimize riskThe PositionFor the HBS team, we are seeking a skilled SQL Database Developer with Oracle PL/SQL expertise with at least 3 to 5 years of experience. The candidate will have a strong background in database development and administration, as well as some experience with Azure deployment for database and server management. The selected candidate will work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.Roles and Responsibilities• Database Development:o Write complex SQL and Oracle PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.o Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and schema refinement.o Create new database jobs for different purposes (e.g., email recipients when any process fails).o Hands-on knowledge of .NET Framework and C#.• Database Administration:o Monitor and maintain database health, performance, and security.o Perform regular database backups and recovery.o Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions.• Data Integration and ETL:o Develop and maintain ETL processes to import and export data between systems.o Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple databases and systems.• Collaboration and Support:o Use Azure DevOps for source control, automated builds, and deployments.o Provide support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.o Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for database development.Required Skills and Qualifications• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) like SQL Server, or Oracle.• Good understanding of Oracle databases.• Experience with database design, normalization, and performance tuning.• Experienced in writing optimized T-SQL and PL/SQL queries.• Knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or SQL Server on Azure VMs and Azure Oracle Linux VMs (Knowledge of Azure Oracle Linux VMs will be a plus point).• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.Exciting Benefits we offer:
