The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health is committed to providing state-of-the-art clinical services to children. It imparts high quality undergraduate and postgraduate training and carries out community-oriented research of public health importance. The Department consists of a group of dedicated full-time and part-time Faculties. Besides the outpatient clinics, the inpatient set-up consists of a Paediatrics Ward with two units comprising of 84 beds, a dedicated 5-bed area for Paediatrics Neurology, a Neonatal unit with facility of admitting 24 neonates along with ventilator support at a time, a dedicated Paediatrics ICU and post cardiac ICU and round the clock critical care; all looked after by fully trained Paediatrics Medical and Nursing staff.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Fellow Medical Officer, Paediatrics Cardiology in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
provide assistance in in-patient and out-patient services to senior faculty members
perform daily team rounds, formulate cure plans and expedite discharges daily in consultation with senior faculty members
develop and practice a system that is quality based and has an academic and service model imbibed in it
teach and train undergraduates and postgraduates according to the defined standards and curriculum
formulate the objectives of a course and appropriate instructional strategies, teach effectively and evaluate the recipients and the courses
conduct clinical/basic research related to Paediatrics
be a part of patient complaints and case review system / root cause analysis
participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement activities.
Requirements:
You should have:
MBBS degree and a valid PMDC license
completed structured postgraduate training in Paediatrics from a reputable institution
cleared FCPS part II in Paediatrics
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
excellent teaching and training skills
excellent clinical skills
ability to provide patient care in a diverse setting and satisfy and retain patients in clinical practice
ability to work effectively in teams.
