To support in managing the finance/Admin/ functions of the MB NY branch). This encompasses playing the role of preparing key financial / management reports, adding value to the business by providing insights into business partnering, preparing all regulatory, tax and internal management reporting of the branch and any admin related matters that need attention.
- Support Country Finance Manager in Develop / Consolidate annual Financial Plan (Income & Expenses) for the branch
- Periodic assessment of performance of expenses functions vis-a-vis the financial plan & HO inquiries
- Admin Payments Control/payments authorization vs budget / backup and support on Admin Functions
- Ensure proper accounting of transactions and accuracy and timeliness in MIS preparation
- Responsible to support the branch Finance manager in day to day business
- Evaluate RAROC on key transactions to be reviewed by Branch finance manager
- Co-ordinate data requirements from various units to facilitate MIS preparation
- Perform Ratio calculations and assist in preparing local ALCO packs
- Update product-wise MIS reports & Cross sell reports
- Prepare Expense MIS and perform regular cost center and expense reviews and highlight inefficiencies and opportunities to finance manager for improvements
- Liaise with audit under supervision of the Country Finance Manager
- Update monthly Double Count and FI working files
- VAT returns review and reconciliations and preparing and posting VAT entries once VAT liability gets settled at branch
- Preparing response on various CBB Ad hoc inquiries and compile survey forms
- Assist in performing regulatory returns review and preparing regulatory reconciliations.
- Perform RCSA reviews and implement effective internal controls.
- Mailing on time and ensuring mail records are maintained and filing of important documents
- Act as back up on Finance Officer to perform the various backup tasks.
- Fixed Assets control and Posting
- Reconciliation of Nostro Accounts and Prompt follow up of outstanding entries
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent master’s degree in accounting / finance with 3-5 years of experience preferably in a bank or a shared service set up servicing banks
- Good communication, accounting, and office management skills.
- Well organized and time bound individual.
- Well versed with MS office applications, experience with core banking / reporting applications.
- Sound Analytical skills.
