The Opportunity
We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lead Publisher or General Manager to take full ownership of our new digital publishing venture. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to build and scale a robust portfolio of niche websites from the ground up, leveraging our existing infrastructure and incorporating cutting-edge technology, including AI.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in digital publishing, a deep understanding of online revenue generation, and the ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team. Crucially, this role requires significant experience and a deep understanding of the US digital publishing market, along with the ability to define, own, and deliver on key milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for identifying, launching, and scaling multiple niche websites specifically targeting the US market.
- Define content strategy, target audiences, and monetization models for each niche, ensuring alignment with US market trends and consumer behavior.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge within the US publishing landscape.
- Drive innovation in content creation and distribution.
- Milestone Ownership & Execution:
- Proactively define, set, and take full ownership of all project milestones and deliverables from conception through execution.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for each website launch and growth phase.
- Monitor progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement solutions to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Report regularly on key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestone achievements to stakeholders.
- Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of content producers, including writers, video creators, graphic designers, and potentially AI prompt engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, setting clear expectations and performance metrics.
- Oversee workflow, ensure quality control, and optimize production processes.
- Technical Acumen & AI Integration:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of website architecture, including WordPress development, optimization, and security best practices.
- Manage and oversee website hosting, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and scalability.
- Implement robust website security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant digital regulations and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA as applicable to US users).
- Be highly comfortable with and proficient in leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and platforms for content generation, optimization, and automation.
- Possess the ability to rapidly create and deploy AI agents for various publishing tasks (e.g., content ideation, drafting, summarization, image generation, data analysis).
- Explore and implement new AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Revenue Generation & Business Acumen:
- Possess a deep and comprehensive understanding of the full lifecycle of publisher revenue streams, with a proven track record in the US market, including:
- Google AdSense and other display advertising networks (e.g., Mediavine, Ezoic, AdThrive).
- Affiliate marketing strategies (Amazon Associates, various affiliate programs tailored for the US).
- Sponsored content and direct advertising sales.
- Subscription models or premium content offerings (as applicable).
- E-commerce integration.
- Develop and optimize monetization strategies for each website to maximize profitability, specifically for the US audience.
- Manage email subscription strategies and platforms to build and engage audience lists effectively.
- Analyze performance data, identify growth opportunities, and implement data-driven decisions.
- Manage budgets and financial projections for the entire portfolio.
- Content & Traffic Generation:
- Oversee the end-to-end content production process, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content across text, video, and image formats, specifically tailored for the US audience.
- Implement robust SEO strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link building, with a strong emphasis on US search trends.
- Explore and implement diverse traffic generation strategies beyond organic search (e.g., social media, email marketing, paid acquisition), relevant to the US market.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership role within a digital publishing, media, or content-driven organization, with a proven track record of successful project ownership and team management.
- Demonstrable experience in the US digital publishing market is essential.
- Proven experience in launching, growing, and monetizing multiple websites.
- Profound understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and various online revenue models (AdSense, affiliate marketing, ad networks, sponsored content).
- Strong technical aptitude with a clear understanding of website platforms (specifically WordPress), hosting environments, website security, and general compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush), and email marketing platforms.
- Highly proficient and comfortable with AI technologies and their application in content creation and publishing workflows. Experience in creating and managing AI agents is a significant plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.

- Self-starter with a high degree of independence, proactivity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
