Pediatric Physical Therapist (Male/Female)
Job Summary:
The Pediatric Physical Therapist (Male/Female) is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for children with physical, developmental, neurological, or orthopedic conditions. The therapist must build strong rapport with children and their families, work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and adapt therapeutic techniques to suit pediatric needs in a nurturing, child-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Therapeutic Responsibilities
- Assess gross motor function, posture, gait, and physical developmental milestones.
•Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Deliver age-appropriate therapy sessions using play-based and functional activities.
- Use techniques to improve strength, coordination, balance, flexibility, and endurance.
- Monitor and document progress toward goals regularly.
- Modify treatment plans based on child’s progress and family feedback.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and teachers.
Child & Family Rapport
- Build a trusting and positive relationship with each child to promote participation and confidence.
- Use encouraging language, playful techniques, and patience during sessions.
- Educate and involve families in home programs and therapy carryover activities.
- Communicate openly and professionally with parents/caregivers about progress, goals, and expectations.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to both children and their families.
Working in a Pediatric Unit/Center
- Understand child development stages and pediatric medical conditions.
- Adapt treatment approach to match the needs of each child’s diagnosis and abilities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and child-friendly therapy space.
- Work in alignment with the center's vision, therapy protocols, and interdisciplinary practices.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and child development reviews.
Additional Duties
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and evaluations.
- Participate in parent education workshops or center events.
- Take part in professional development and training specific to pediatric therapy.
- Respect confidentiality and comply with ethical and safety guidelines.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy techniques and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and empathy when working with children.
- Ability to motivate and engage young clients in therapy.
- Collaborative spirit to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT or equivalent).
- Experience or specialized training in pediatric physical therapy preferred.

Pay: Rs35,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per month
