Marketing Automation Expert (ActiveCampaign Specialist)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Automation Expert with deep experience in Active Campaign to join our growing marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising automated marketing workflows to enhance customer engagement, nurture leads, and drive conversions. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and hands-on campaign execution.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage marketing automation workflows and customer journeys within ActiveCampaign.
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, segmentation strategies, and personalised content delivery.
- Maintain and enhance subscriber lists, ensuring data cleanliness and compliance.
- Collaborate with the content, design, and product teams to align automation strategies with campaign objectives.
- Implement lead scoring models and behavioural triggers to support targeted communication.
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to continuously improve automation effectiveness.
- Integrate ActiveCampaign with other platforms (e.g., CMS, CRM, Postmark) to ensure seamless data flow and campaign performance.
- Monitor key metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and generate actionable insights.
- Document automation processes and create SOPs for repeatable success.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with ActiveCampaign in a marketing automation role.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, GDPR, and deliverability standards.
- Familiarity with integrating ActiveCampaign with tools such as Postmark, Zapier, CMSs, or CRMs.
- Ability to design data-driven campaigns based on customer lifecycle and behavioural data.
- Comfortable working with HTML/CSS for email template customisation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience in the tech or online gaming industry is a plus.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Knowledge of customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing strategies.
