What is MBU Lead?
The MBU Technician will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of cell site infrastructure. The role involves Power equipment inspection, calibrating power equipment to adapt to the specific needs ensuring that cell site operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
What does MBU Lead do?
- Troubleshoots electrical issues.
- Maintain KPIs of MBU (NAR, TCH, PM success rate).
- Inspect and maintain power equipment to ensure they are in working condition.
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
- Installation, Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing of Rectifiers (Emerson, Huawei) and Rectifier batteries (Li-ion cells).
- Identify and troubleshoot causes of Diesel Generator problems and failures.
- Perform ATP of Diesel Generator after overhauling.
- Identification and rectification of DCACs.
- Identification of Commercial supply faults.
- Ensure that all tower operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of tower operations.
- Telco Spares and inventory management of cell sites.
- Ensures that PMs should be performed by vendor with good quality. Vendor should complete/perform PM of sites within given PM cycle and audit sites regularly.
- Sales & Corporate complaints of assigned MBU must be resolved in 24hrs time.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the proper installation of tower components.
- Follow all safety regulations and HSE protocols.

Requirements
- High school diploma or Associate Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunication installation and maintenance of power infrastructure.
- Knowledge of various tower components and tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Hands on experience of Power infrastructure on BTS Cell Sites, both AC & DC, Rectifiers and RMS troubleshooting.
- Experience of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of telco and non-telco equipment, management and execution.
- The job requires the flexible working hours in case of operational emergencies.
