About the Role
Thahal ITS is seeking a strategic and creative Thought Leadership Content Marketer for placement with a mission-driven nonprofit client. This role focuses on elevating the personal brand and thought leadership presence of the client’s Founder & CEO, while building organizational authority through engaging and insight-driven content across multiple platforms.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who excels at executive ghostwriting, editorial development, and audience-focused storytelling—and who can deliver consistent output with a sharp eye for quality and message alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Execution
Develop and manage a thought leadership content strategy aligned with the client’s voice, mission, and target audiences.
- Executive Ghostwriting
Draft long- and short-form content on behalf of the Founder & CEO—including articles, blogs, op-eds, LinkedIn posts, and speaking abstracts.
- Content Creation Across Formats
Translate complex ideas into a variety of content types including infographics, social media posts, whitepapers, video scripts, and slide decks.
- Editorial Planning & Development
Maintain a consistent publishing calendar. Conduct interviews with internal and external stakeholders to inform content and ensure thought leadership relevance.
- SEO & Content Optimization
Optimize content for SEO, readability, and platform engagement. Ensure tone, format, and channel alignment.
- Audience Growth & Distribution
Oversee distribution of executive content on platforms such as LinkedIn and the organization’s blog. Identify ways to increase visibility and engagement.
- Analytics & Performance Reporting
Track metrics such as traffic, shares, engagement, and backlinks. Use data to adjust strategies and improve future performance.
Qualifications Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in content marketing, executive ghostwriting, or editorial strategy.
- Strong portfolio showcasing published thought leadership content.
- Ability to distill complex insights into compelling, engaging narratives.
- Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs), analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and content platforms (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot).
- Confidence interviewing C-suite leaders and subject-matter experts.
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines without supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience in nonprofit, B2B, or mission-driven sectors.
- Knowledge of content licensing, research citation, and editorial ethics.
- Familiarity with personal brand development and video/podcast content formats.
- Comfort using AI writing assistants with proper oversight.
Work Schedule & Engagement Terms
- Time Commitment: 20 hours per week
- Location: Remote, with in-office work required for a half day every Wednesday
- Schedule: Fixed weekly hours; this is not a flexible schedule role
