Product Analyst
We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Analyst to join our growing product team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping our products by bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, scope out features, and manage product backlogs, ultimately contributing to the successful delivery of innovative and user-centric products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Engineering: Elicit, analyze, document, and validate detailed functional and non-functional requirements from various stakeholders (users, business, technical teams). Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable specifications.
- Product Scoping: Collaborate with Product Managers to define product scope, features, and user stories, ensuring alignment with product strategy and business objectives.
· Backlog Ownership: Curate and maintain a well-prioritized backlog, ensuring requirements are clear, actionable, and sized appropriately. Collaborate with engineering to scope tasks and ensure delivery remains focused on user and business value.
- Agile Delivery Advocate: Work closely with stakeholders to align team with agile best practices. Facilitate effective refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives and other agile tasks.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work effectively with design, engineering, QA, and other teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date product documentation, including user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems development, product management or an appropriate related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Analyst, Requirements Analyst, or similar role, with a strong focus on requirement engineering and product scoping.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience with product backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, etc ).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice-versa.
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques is a plus.
