The Regulatory Policy Analyst will support the Global Head of Regulatory Affairs by researching, analyzing, and tracking changes in global regulations that impact Simpaisa Technologies Limited’s operations. The analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that the company’s policies are up-to-date and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements. This role will also assist in managing relationships with regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
§ Regulatory Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on global regulatory developments in key jurisdictions.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across key regions and fintech verticals.
- Analyze the impact of new and updated regulations on Simpaisa’s operations and suggest the Global Head on necessary adjustments to compliance frameworks.
§ Regulatory Risk Assessment:
- Assess potential regulatory risks and develop recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the company’s operations are adaptable to new regulatory changes.
§ Regulatory Reporting and Documentation:
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports, submissions, and filings required by government bodies and financial authorities.
- Ensure that all regulatory documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Track and report on the progress of regulatory matters and compliance projects.
§ Support in Regulatory Affairs Initiatives:
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for senior management on regulatory matters.
- Draft consultation responses, regulatory briefings, white papers, and position notes for internal and external audiences.
- Provide support for compliance audits, meetings with regulators, and policy discussions.
§ Stakeholder Communication:
- Support the Global Head of Regulatory Affairs in liaising with policymakers, regulators, government agencies, and industry groups.
- Assist in managing Simpaisa’s regulatory relationships with external regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
§ Regulatory Knowledge Management:
- Maintain a knowledge base of relevant regulatory frameworks and guidelines.
- Maintain a global regulatory watch-list and internal updates for executive and product teams.
- Ensure the company is aware of emerging regulatory trends and developments.

1. Accuracy and timeliness of regulatory research and analysis.
- Number of regulatory changes tracked and reported.
- Number of successful regulatory submissions made on time.
- Stakeholder satisfaction with regulatory reports and communication.

Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, or Master in Public Policy, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or legal analysis, preferably in the fintech or financial services industries.
Experience drafting public policy papers and working with financial regulatory stakeholders
