Job Overview:
Wanclouds is seeking a Sales Development Intern who is passionate about building a career in sales and is eager to make a measurable impact. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, a clear communicator, and able to thrive both independently and within a collaborative, friendly team environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead Management:
As a Sales Development Intern, you will assist in generating and nurturing leads for the company through various sales and outreach efforts.
Here are the detailed tasks:
- Assist in generating new leads via cold outreach, email campaigns, social media, and other relevant sales channels
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to support lead generation activities
- Help qualify and categorize leads as hot, warm, or cold based on need, budget, and decision-making potential
- Support the follow-up process for hot leads and contribute to nurturing warm and cold leads
- Keep lead information and status organized and up to date in the CRM system
Sales Management:
Perform the following sales activities:
- Understand how the sales process works and manage the sales pipeline
- Participate in webinars, in-person events, conferences and network with peers and target audience to identify sales opportunities
Research:
You’ll be required to research the target market during the lead generation activities:
- Identify the challenges prospects face during communication and determine if they are seeking specific features.
- Check for competitor products mentioned/used by leads and prospects during communication and the intent behind using them
Communication Skills:
You should be aware of the following communication practices while interacting with leads:
- Interact professionally with leads, existing customers, and other company stakeholders via various communication mediums
- Cultivate in-depth product knowledge and understanding to ensure that you can effectively communicate the product features, use cases, and benefits to the prospective customers
- Follow company decorum at all times when representing the organization
Qualifications:
- Graduation / Master degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or other relevant fields.
- Fresh graduates or individuals with up to 1 year of experience in lead generation and prospecting
- Familiarity or academic exposure to B2B/B2C sales concepts is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Eagerness to learn how to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Basic understanding of project coordination and task management
- Willingness to learn and work with CRM software tools
- A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent client interactions and support
Good to have:
- Ability to grasp technical concepts in the field of Computer Science and communicate them to a general audience in an easily comprehensible and engaging way
- Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data on a daily basis
- Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication and presentation skills
