We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer with 5+ years of experience in JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks, specializing in Astro. You will be responsible for building high-performance, SEO-friendly, and scalable web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain fast, responsive, and SEO-optimized web applications using Astro framework.
- Architect and implement static and dynamic frontend solutions with Astro’s island architecture.
- Optimize web performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality user interfaces.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or headless CMS systems.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility (WCAG) compliance.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in Astro, JavaScript, and frontend technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, etc.).
- Proven experience with Astro framework (building multi-page apps, SSG, SSR, and hybrid rendering).
- Experience with performance optimization (lazy loading, code splitting, caching).
- Familiarity with build tools (Vite, Webpack, Rollup) and CSS preprocessors (Sass, Tailwind).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Cypress).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Express, etc.).
- Knowledge of edge computing (Cloudflare Workers, Deno, etc.).
- Contributions to open-source projects or Astro community.
