Job Description:
AALA Tech is looking for a highly experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to lead and manage procurement activities across a wide range of engineering and technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, vendor management, cost control, and contract negotiations within the ELV, MEP, or industrial automation sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement process from RFQs to final delivery and vendor payments.
- Identify and qualify reliable local and international suppliers for technical equipment and services.
- Evaluate technical and commercial offers in coordination with engineering and project teams.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure best value procurement.
- Maintain and update the approved vendor list (AVL) and supplier performance database.
- Coordinate with logistics and finance teams to ensure timely deliveries and payments.
- Manage procurement documentation, contracts, and compliance with internal procedures.
- Optimize procurement processes for cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to project planning through accurate forecasting and lead-time management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Industrial).
- Minimum 15–20 years of procurement experience in engineering or project-based industries.
- Strong understanding of MEP, ELV, BMS, IT networking, or automation-related materials and systems.
- Proven negotiation skills and vendor relationship management.
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement tools.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and team leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, import procedures, and contract law is an advantage.
