Job Description
SmartB Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer with 2+ years of professional experience to join our dynamic tech team. This role is ideal for developers who are passionate about building scalable digital solutions, enjoy solving real-world problems, and want to contribute to a mission-driven organization. As a core member of our development team, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop, improve, and deploy high-impact applications that drive business transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements
- Translate product requirements into scalable, high-quality code
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and performance
- Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate issues
- Maintain clean, well-documented, and reusable code
What We’re Looking For
- With a completed Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development
- Strong knowledge of backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP, or equivalent)
- Experience with RESTful APIs, databases (SQL & NoSQL), and server-side logic
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/React) is a big plus
- Good grasp of Git, version control workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or others) is a bonus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-first mindset
