Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual with strong SQL expertise to manage, query, and analyze data efficiently. The role involves writing complex SQL queries, optimizing database performance, and working with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.
- Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Collaborate with analysts and business users to define data requirements.
- Create reports and dashboards using SQL or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation.
- Maintain and manage large datasets across different systems.
- Work with relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Assist in database design and development for performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and errors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong command of SQL (writing queries, joins, subqueries, indexing, etc.).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Proficiency in data manipulation and report generation.
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform detailed data analysis.
- Good understanding of data normalization, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS, Tableau).
- Experience in Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis.
- Knowledge of cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL, Amazon RDS).
- Understanding of database security, backups, and performance tuning.
