Job description
· To Ensure the regularity and punctuality and follow uniform policy of the organization.· Proper Handing & Taking over at the end of duty shift. (In case of lost or damage of any medical or office equipment, instrument, gadget, and hospital furniture, inform shift supervisor immediately in writing for incident reporting and keep unit administrator in copy).· To be competent in the use of HMIS and electronic que management system, ensuring that data is entered in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with organization policy and procedure.· Follow timely vitals and Realtime documentation in HMIS of each patient (P1 – Hourly Basis, P2– 4 Hourly basis). Inform ER physician immediately in case of “Danger Vital Signs”.· Ensure medication administration within an hour of every (P1 & P2) patient and its Realtime documentation in HMIS.· Verify and double check the right patient, dose, and route before medication administration to each (P1 & P2) patient.· Ensure double signoff from pharmacy team at the time of dispensing “Life saving Drugs”. In case of non-compliance report to your shift supervisor for incident reporting.· Enter nursing notes of the EMR of each (P1 & P2) patient.· Follow proper compliance of PPEs within ER premises.· Ensure Realtime refilling of crush cart medications and disposables after every use.· Follow proper compliance of Infection control practices.(Use of Hand Disinfectant and Gloves)· Ensure replacement of mackintosh sheet every time for each new patient.Ensure that each child is assessed, and that their care is planned, implemented, and evaluated in negotiation with the family, and that is accurately documented.· Ensure the provision of a welcoming, caring, clean and safe environment for the children and their families. (Ensure use of Floor disinfectant in patient areas on hourly basis by Janitors and sterilize every Instrument with instrument disinfectant solution after every use)· To chase and enter all Lab and Radiology reports in EMR of each patient for timely decision making by doctors.· To develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, evidence based nursing care. This includes completion of clinical skills competency framework and expanded role responsibilities, following appropriate trainings ( BLS,PALS,PEMCN )· Ensures arrangements for the admission, transfer and discharge of children are made safely and effectively in line with organization policies (appropriate documentation and implementation).
