Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile WordPress & Shopify Developer to join our dynamic team across our Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad offices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and maintain engaging e-commerce and web presence solutions for our international clients, directly impacting their online success.
As a WordPress & Shopify Developer at Infinitum Media™, you'll be responsible for developing custom themes, plugins, and integrations, as well as optimizing existing platforms. Your expertise will ensure our clients' digital storefronts and websites are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and highly performant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites (themes, plugins, custom post types) and Shopify stores (themes, Liquid programming, app integrations).
- Write clean, well-structured code in PHP, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement responsive designs to ensure optimal viewing across various devices.
- Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and user experience on both platforms.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress and Shopify for enhanced functionality.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues, providing timely solutions for client projects.
- Manage website migrations, updates, and backups for stability and security.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress, Shopify, and e-commerce development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core.
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with strong knowledge of Liquid, Shopify APIs, and theme customization.
- Solid proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with custom theme and plugin development for WordPress.
- Experience with Shopify theme customization and app integration.
- Understanding of web standards, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
