Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant Assistant to support our finance team in managing daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting in day-to-day finance operations in compliance with UK accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, invoices, and management accounts
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Help with VAT returns and other HMRC submissions
- Support in payroll processing and employee expense claims
- Maintain organised financial records and documentation
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial transactions
- Support in month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Requirements:
- AAT Level 2/3 (or working towards) or similar accounting qualification
- Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is desirable but not essential
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Knowledge of UK tax and payroll legislation
- Experience working in a professional services or SME environment
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems

Pay: Rs25,000.00 - Rs55,000.00 per month
