Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Associate (Pre-Award & Award Administration), Shared Research Services.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for assisting the (pre-award & award) manager in the timely processing of internal controls to support the Faculty of Health Sciences’ grants processes. Responsibilities will include pre-award & award grants management, communication with internal and external stakeholders, grants budget analysis, management of grants software (PURE), maintenance of KPI dashboard, due diligence and compliance of policies, and other related activities.
In this position you will be responsible to:
to provide support to the manager SRS (pre-award & award) in supervision of internal controls for external funding; preparations and follow-ups with relevant departments (Legal, Finance, Security Control, Housing & Estates, Clinical Research Unit, Human Resource, etc)
ensure timely submissions of pre-awards
ensure timely signing of award contracts by support units
monitor support units’ KPIs
create SharePoint folders for budgets, and SRS cost reviews
pre-award SRS Cost tracking
prepare monthly reports on pre-award & award
maintain monthly sheet for pre-award SRS cost
any other responsibility assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
You should have:
a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (additional qualification would be an added advantage) from a reputable national or international university
relevant experience of two to four years preferably with a Grants Management or Project Management background
strong interpersonal and communication skills
proficiency in computers especially MS Office. Knowledge and use of PowerBI and artificial intelligence tools would be an advantage
experience in budgeting
willigness to travel to research communities / rural field sites
resilience and ability to cope with work pressure & stringent deadlines
excellent report writing skills
excellent organizational and analytical skills
good spoken and written English
