Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- develop individualized plan of care, ensures implementation of the same through timely follow-ups while incorporating theoretical concepts and advanced clinical skills into practice
- participate in multidisciplinary rounds as applicable and plan patient care accordingly
- organize workload and set priorities appropriately
- ensure all reportable cases are communicated to head nurse and manager verbally and through shift reports
- response quickly and appropriately in conflicting or crisis situation in patient care areas
- conduct comprehensive assessment to identify patients’ education needs, ensure required education is conducted and documented on the appropriate forum
- ensure smooth discharge process for patients including discharge plan, take home medication, home care needs, and follow up care
- contact patients within one week of discharge for follow-up for health-related problems
- review new literature / research to keep updated and share with junior staff and nurse instructor
- gain expertise into specific service through educating self via service specific education.
- participate in specialty related quality circles/projects.
- Ensure effective use of hospital and clinical resources.
- Perform daily round of BMT area and observes for clinical and administrative aspects of care and services provided to patients and families in BMT.
- Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate screening of each patient for the delivery of quality patient care.
- Timely update and reports to BMT Section head and manager about patients and donor workup.
- Participates in unit, departmental and hospital-wide committees, task forces or meetings as indicated by role appropriateness.
Requirements:
You should have:
- a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school
- at least two years of nursing experience and a valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
- Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Safe Medication Administration, Aseptic Techniques, I/V Cannulation
- in-depth knowledge of health and safety measures
- excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
- ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently
- proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
- flexible to work with shifts
