Implement EHS programs based on EHS management system to achieve the GSK Strategic Deployment Objectives in consideration of EHS policy and vision along with values & expectations.
Education, Experience & Skills
BE
Minimum 1 year experience of managing EHS (especially chemical safety & environmental sustainability) in an organization and different domains related to Health and Safety.
IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, Good communication & writing skills, Computer Skills (MS Excel, Word & Power Point)
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance to local industry and government regulations, GSK standards, procedures, guidelines. Implementation of GSK programme at the site and ensure continuous EHS improvement in all work processes.
Assist EHS Manager and Site in implementation of Industrial Hygiene across the site that include conducting chemical risk assessment, OEL monitoring & governance. Ensure EHS risk management system is in place and assist departments in conducting risk assessments.
Ensure compliance of the releases to environment from the facility’s operations; in accordance with applicable regulatory limits and other relevant environmental discharge criteria and Assist site in implementation of environmental management programmes including EHAC and AMR
Ensure that Environmental sustainability parameters like hazardous waste & non-hazardous waste generation, water conservation, biodiversity etc. are appropriately managed at the site and monitor their progress.
Conduct EHS self-inspections & internal audits to check the compliance of EHS standards and ensure preparation of effective CAPAs and their timely closures.
Conduct periodic reviews of EHS management system SOP’s, method statements & risk assessments, etc. & continuously improve the EHS culture amongst the staff through coaching, mentoring, counselling, and in-house trainings.
Conduct and ensure “investigation & reporting of EHS adverse events” for assigned department and ensure reporting & management of ZAPs across the site.
Impart training for contractor employee for EHS awareness on global standards and work practices according to established GSK procedures and ensure Contractor Safety & conduct daily Gemba’s and reflect safety ownership to all staff.
Participate in Cross-Functional Teams and provide valuable inputs if any regarding linkage of EHS with existing production facilities and projects of new products or new machines.
Deliver the tasks and projects assigned by the Site EHS lead.
