What is Manager, Digital Products?
We’re seeking an analytical and technical product leader to lead Digital product management and development. In the role of Manager, Digital Product Development, you will be tasked to build products in leu with our overall Digital Strategy. This primarily includes modernizing the way we build tech, work like a startup, and scale digitally to millions of users. The role specifically revolves around technology product development for Digital Telco, Selfcare and Lifestyle, Instant Messaging, keeping in mind latest Social media, Content, and Communication trends.
The role reports directly to the VP of Digital Products & Solutions.
What does Manager, Digital Products do?
- Drive technology planning, resource allocation and long-term forecasting.
- Technical cost allocation, timely budget planning and business case approvals to manage resources affectively.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects in collaboration with support functions and cross-functional teams.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the mobile app, from ideation, design and development to rollout, enhancements and ongoing optimizations.
- Select suitable technical architecture and solutions that shape the technical stack, including APIs, payment gateways, authentication, messaging, analytics and integrations with DBSS and third-party systems.
- Partner with business, finance, procurement and regulatory teams to align product priorities and ensure compliance.
- Drive outsourced and inhouse engineering teams, Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift), to supplement the product roadmap.
- Ensure security, regulatory compliance and adoption of modern software practices (APIs, microservices, DevOps).
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders for requirement gathering and ensuring business needs are translated into technical deliverables.
- Implement reporting and analytics systems, for internal teams to track and manage data.

Requirements
- At least 7-8 years hands-on experience in the technology and engineering management domain. An undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, AI/ML, or related disciplines.
- Experience working with financial teams, procurement processes, PR & PO cycles.
- Leading projects and development teams for large scale digital products, technologies and platforms - Mobile, Web, Cloud Native stacks, API integrations, and deployments via Agile practices.
- Has led a team of either software engineers or technical product managers, with hands on experience in cost assessment and budget/resource allocation
- Strong knowledge of both frontend and backend technologies, with working knowledge across multiple backend stacks such as Spring Boot, Node.js, PHP and others.
- Awareness of mobile application development challenges (performance, scalability, security, OS differences, etc.).
- Product Management – Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project etc
- Communications stacks & protocols – XMPP, RTP, SIP, HLS
- Digital Analytics – Firebase, MixPanel, Google Analytics
- API’s - Web Services & Integrations Experience (SOAP / REST)
- Knowledge of IP and Networks will be a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
