Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in public health, Project Management, social sciences or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in humanitarian or development health programs.
• Leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the geographic and socio-political situation of GB and Chitral is an asset
• Capability to handle resources, timelines, and control processes in the program.
• Attention to forecast potential difficulties, trouble shoot and work around obstacles.
• Ability to communicate clearly and have the potential to be able to train.
• Highly organized and able to deliver results according to time-bound deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to program focused geographic areas.

The position

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of the RENEW Program in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. The role is based in Gilgit/Chitral and is to lead & assist project teams in smooth implementation of the project. The position is responsible for managing planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the project with the local authorities, communities, and partners to deliver flood response in an effective and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning, Implementation & Reporting

• Lead the development of detailed work plans and ensure the timely implementation of project activities in the regions.
• Coordinate the deployment of health interventions in line with humanitarian standards and set protocols of the organization.
• Manage project resources effectively, including budgeting, staffing, and logistics.
• Manage all aspects of the flood response project in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral.
• Ensure regular reporting to donors and senior management, including narrative and financial reports.

Oversight & Quality Assurance

• Ensure that the health services provided are of high quality and aligned with project guidelines and set standards.
• Oversee project M&E processes, ensuring timely data collection, analysis, and use for decision-making.
• Support field teams with technical guidance in areas such as primary healthcare, maternal and child health, nutrition, mental health, and disease outbreak response.
• Monitor project performance indicators and quality benchmarks.

Team Management & Capacity Building

• Supervise and support project staff, including performance appraisals, training, and mentoring.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture.

Coordination & Representation

• Coordinate with local authorities, department of health, health providers and community stakeholders
• Represent the organization in coordination forums and contribute to joint AKDN assessments and planning efforts.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify project risks (e.g., security, operational, financial) and timely develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to donor regulations, organizational policies, and humanitarian accountability standards.
