Job Role / Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to supervise and monitor the research activities including data collection as well as maintain necessary records, create and sustain liaison with the relevant stakeholders for the smooth implementation of all necessary activities of the project. Specific responsibilities include to:
- conduct nutrition assessment and screening of patients, particularly for malnutrition;
- provide dietary counselling and treatment plans based on individual nutritional needs;
- manage and follow up on cases of Moderate and Severe Acute Malnutrition (MAM/SAM) as per protocol;
- monitor the growth progress of patients. Coordinate with the field staff for effective referral and follow-up mechanisms;
- maintain, update, and compile data records accurately and in a timely manner;
- conduct community-based nutrition education and awareness sessions as require;
- participate in training sessions, team meetings, and review discussions.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
You should have:- at least a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s in Nutrition and Dietetics will be preferred or equivalent;
- registered Dietitian certificate is mandatory;
- one to two years of relevant work experience;
- strong communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills;
- strong understanding of the nutrition care process and nutrition support in community settings;
- knowledge of locally available foods and dietary practices;
- team player;
- basic Knowledge of community research studies;
- data collection, analysis, and interpretation in terms of report writing and biostatistics;
- integrity and strong research and clinical ethics;
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
- comfort with working in challenging field-based settings;
strong people management skills, particularly in a challenging field environment.
