Job Description:
The Accounts and Taxation Manager will be responsible for managing the organization’s accounting operations and ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance. This role demands strong financial acumen, working knowledge of tax laws (direct and indirect), and the ability to supervise junior finance staff. The candidate will play a key role in financial planning, regulatory reporting, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Operations:
Manage day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records in compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
Supervise bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and journal entries.
Maintain chart of accounts and ensure proper cost center allocations.
2. Taxation (Direct & Indirect):
Prepare and file statutory returns for GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable taxes.
Reconcile GST input credits and coordinate monthly GST return filings
Handle TDS deductions, deposits, and returns within statutory timelines.
Assist in the preparation of income tax computations and advance tax planning.
Liaise with external tax consultants, auditors, and tax authorities for assessments, audits, and compliance issues.
3. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements as per applicable accounting standards.
Coordinate with auditors during statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and corporate laws.
Monitor and implement changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the company.
4. Team Leadership & Process Improvement:
Supervise and guide junior accountants and finance executives.
Identify opportunities for process automation, internal controls, and financial efficiency.
Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance (CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance preferred).
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
Strong understanding of taxation laws, including GST and Income Tax.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or SAP).
Knowledge of MS Excel.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Pay: Rs125,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
