Job Summary:
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, managing ledgers, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role supports daily accounting tasks and ensures timely reporting of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and process invoices, expense forms, and payment vouchers.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently.
- Monitor and reconcile company bank statements and transactions.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of entries.
- Support in preparing tax returns, withholding tax deductions, and filing.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding payments and receipts.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or equivalent (ACCA/CA Inter will be a plus).
- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
