Assistant Manager – Supply Chain
Location: Site Area near North Nazimabad, Karachi

About the Company:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality plastic and metal bottle caps, supplying to major beverage and packaging companies across the region. With a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous innovation, they are now looking to onboard a skilled Assistant Manager – Supply Chain to strengthen their supply chain operations at their Karachi manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & SKU Management:
- Manage and monitor stock levels of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.
- Optimize SKU planning, ensuring demand forecasting aligns with production capabilities and customer requirements.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control systems (FIFO, ROL, safety stock levels).
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Coordinate procurement activities for local and imported raw materials, spare parts, and packaging materials.
- Evaluate and develop vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers in coordination with procurement lead.
Production Planning & Coordination:
- Liaise with production and quality teams to align supply chain plans with manufacturing schedules.
- Ensure availability of materials for uninterrupted production runs.
- Monitor lead times and reduce production downtime due to material shortages.
Logistics & Distribution:
- Oversee dispatch and transportation of finished goods to distributors and clients.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-efficient deliveries.
- Ensure proper documentation (delivery challans, invoices, GRNs) is maintained.
Reporting & Systems:
- Generate and analyze daily/weekly/monthly supply chain KPIs and reports.
- Suggest and implement process improvements in supply chain workflows.
- Work with ERP or inventory management systems for accurate record keeping.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in supply chain roles in a manufacturing setup, preferably FMCG or industrial products.
- Strong understanding of inventory, procurement, and logistics functions.
- Familiar with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Excel-based analysis.
- Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently at a manufacturing site.
