Job Summary
The Dairy Section Associate is responsible for the proper stocking, rotation, and display of dairy products to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. This role involves maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and organization in the dairy area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Stock and replenish dairy products including milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, and other refrigerated items.
· Ensure accurate labeling, pricing, and rotation of stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
· Check and monitor product quality and expiration dates; remove expired or damaged items.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of dairy refrigerators and display cases.
· Assist customers with questions, product selection, and location of items.
· Collaborate with team members and managers to achieve departmental goals.
· Monitor temperature logs and report any discrepancies or equipment issues.
· Unload deliveries and organize inventory in the storage area.
· Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations and company policies.
Skills
· Food Service and Culinary Skills
· Customer Service and Communication skills
· Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
· Knowledge of Service Standards in the Food and Beverage industry
· MS Office
· Certification in HACCP is preferred
Qualification
· Bachelor Degree Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts or related field
· Certification in Food Handling or Culinary Arts is a plus
Experience
· Minimum 3- or 5-year experience in a similar role will be preferred
