Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to manage and grow our presence on Upwork. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a proven track record in bidding and client handling, and the ability to generate new business opportunities for our IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the complete Upwork bidding process (proposal writing, bidding, client communication).
- Identify potential leads and convert them into long-term clients.
- Understand project requirements and effectively communicate them to the internal team.
- Collaborate with project managers and team leads to deliver what’s promised.
- Maintain and grow client relationships for repeat business.
- Track and report key metrics to improve performance and client acquisition.
- Stay up to date with Upwork trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a BDM or similar role on Upwork (minimum 2+ years).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of IT services (Web Development, Mobile Apps, Digital Marketing, etc.).
- Ability to meet monthly sales targets.
- Knowledge of Upwork algorithms, job filters, and proposal strategy.
