Job Description
- Relationship management with suppliers to achieve win-win setup.
- Develop new suppliers and maintain genuine, sustainable partnerships with the existing ones.
- Responsible for OB sales, income, assortment, stock days, planogram and category dress-up.
- Ensure maximum growth from all suppliers and generate profit by selling their product in the right channels.
- Develop & grow METRO Own brands to deliver key strategic objectives.
- Review brand/supplier performance and profitability.
- Negotiate business plans with partners to attract strategic customers to increase customer base & basket size.
- Identify gaps in assortment based on local market needs.
- Monitor daily sales and margins on article and take corrective actions to safeguard margin erosion.
- Assist the category in the process of determination and change in the purchase and sale prices and prepare price comparisons.
- Visit, evaluate and select the adequate suppliers and assist the Senior buyer in the decision of the terms and condition.
- Implement & maintain the planogram at each store as per ARP Model.
- Determine and continuously maintain the ideal assortment for the given area, in terms of turnover, profit and stock level.
- Keep the record of the changes in articles and prepare action plans.
- To maintain the article/ supplier database through METRO Management System (MMS).
Qualifications
University degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s) from an HEC-recognized institution.
Additional Information
Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in category management
Experience of Modern wholesale/ retail is preferred.
