We are in need of a highly skilled and knowledgeable Data Scraper who will become a part of our team. As a Data Scraper, your job will include writing Python code to extract and parse information from different websites, using tools like Selenium, Beautiful Soup, and Requests. A candidate that is best suitable for this role will have significant knowledge in the field of web scraping, data manipulation, and automation as well.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the creation and updates of web scraping scripts in the Python programming language.
- Work with Selenium, BeautifulSoup, and Requests frameworks to collect information from dynamic and static websites.
- Perform interpretation and data analysis that was collected to determine patterns, trends, and insights.
- Improve web scraping scripts in terms of performance, dependability, and extendability.
- Work alongside other members of the team to incorporate information that has been scraped into internal applications or systems.
- Regularly review scraping scripts so as to ensure smooth extraction of data.
- Research and keep abreast of changes in web scraping technologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Comply with legal and ethical practices associated with web scraping, data privacy, and intellectual property rights.
- Engage with relevant parties in the project to grasp data parameters and expected outcomes.
- Distribute resources and training materials pertaining to scraping tools and processes to the rest of the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scraper or similar role.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Experience with web scraping frameworks such as Selenium, BeautifulSoup, and Requests.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and XPath.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing techniques.
- Previous experience in Data Scraping.
