Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Expert with strong web scraping capabilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in data extraction and lead qualification to support our business development efforts in the construction and engineering sectors across North America. This role requires advanced technical skills, market insight, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement custom web scrapers to extract potential leads (MQLs) from various data sources including websites, public records, and directories.
- Utilize industry-specific databases, online platforms, and social media to gather and qualify business contacts.
- Clean, normalize, and enrich data to maintain high-quality datasets.
- Apply predefined filters to qualify leads by industry, company size, location, and project relevance.
- Create and maintain a centralized database of MQLs for follow-up by the sales team.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory developments.
- Generate regular reports and insights based on extracted data.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in web scraping, data extraction, or market research.
- Proficient in Python and libraries/tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy, or similar.
- Familiarity with data mining, APIs, and handling structured/unstructured datasets.
- Solid understanding of North American construction and engineering industries.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Knowledge of data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Exposure to marketing automation tools and digital outreach platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases is a plus.
