Job Description:
To manage, monitor, and control the costing activities of the company, ensuring accurate product costing, variance analysis, and reporting. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing actionable cost data and insights to improve operational and financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze product cost sheets, bill of materials (BOM), and standard costing.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual cost audits and reconciliations.
- Support inventory valuation and ensure accurate recording of material consumption.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and stores departments to ensure data accuracy and process alignment.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cost accounting systems and controls.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process with a focus on cost components.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to cost performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (IFRS/IAS).
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing cost-related data and analysis.
Requirements:
Education:
- CA (Inter), ACCA, CIMA, ICMA (qualified or finalist).
- Bachelor's/Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Experience:
- 4–6 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
- Hands-on MS Dynamics 365 experience
Skills:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Good understanding of costing methodologies and inventory management.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Standard costing & variance analysis

- Production cost reporting
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in industries such as textile, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or engineering.
- Hands-on exposure to process costing, activity-based costing, and standard costing systems.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and cost audit requirements.
