We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Lead to take a pivotal role in driving our cloud infrastructure strategy and ensuring operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, and cross-functional teams to architect, automate, and maintain scalable and secure cloud environments. As a DevOps Lead, you will champion best practices across CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure automation, ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage DevOps initiatives across multiple teams and services
- Architect, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, or equivalent tools
- Create and maintain configuration management practices using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar
- Standardize infrastructure and software configuration across environments
- Ensure system performance, high availability, and fault tolerance
- Oversee incident response, including resolution and post-mortem analysis
- Lead capacity planning, chaos engineering, and disaster recovery processes
- Establish and socialize operational standards and practices throughout engineering
- Monitor infrastructure and application performance, leveraging observability tools for root cause analysis
- Implement automation to streamline repetitive DevOps tasks
- Ensure compliance with security best practices in deployment pipelines and infrastructure
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to team growth and technical leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or SRE roles in operational environments
- Proven experience with cloud providers such as GCP (preferred), AWS, and/or Azure
- Deep understanding of networking, security, storage, and virtualization in cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and IaC platforms (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and related tooling
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Ruby, Java, or similar
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for infrastructure and application performance
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills (verbal and written in English)
- Experience working with multi-national teams
- Ability to work during EST time zone
Preference:
- Experience in the health tech space, familiarity with HIPAA, SOC-2, PCI compliance
- Exposure to FHIR, HL7, or regulated healthcare data workflows
- Certifications in GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Experience with workflow/data pipeline tools like Airflow or Luigi
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello
