Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests warmly and provide a positive first impression.
- Handle customer inquiries about menu items, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Payment Processing:
- Operate POS systems (e.g., Square, Toast, Micros) to process cash, card, mobile, and digital wallet payments.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately.
- Order Coordination:
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Resolve minor order discrepancies promptly.
- Cash Management:
- Open and close the cash register with proper balancing.
- Report shortages or overages to management immediately.
- Upselling & Promotions:
- Suggest add-ons, combos, or specials to enhance the guest experience.
- Promote loyalty programs and gift cards.
- Compliance & Cleanliness:
- Follow hygiene and safety standards (food handling, sanitization).
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
