- Responsible for managing and driving the Data Migration activities under the Core Banking Transformation Program. This will include data mapping, data migration strategy development and data cleansing activities
- Work with all key stakeholders during the entire implementation to ensure that the data is ready for go-live, migrated within the cutover window, and validated within the target application
- Formulation and development of data strategy document in coordination with all key stakeholders
- Identify, define, collate, document, and communicate the data migration requirements
- Take ownership of design and development of strategy development of all data extract, transform and load activities
- Working with the project team to ensure that all ongoing data transformation, de-duplication, extraction, and load functions once ready for production deployment are documented
- Work with data owners to verify and obtain approval that any transformed data retains its quality/accuracy
- Ensure that any key fields and social care/business rules relied upon as part of any ongoing ETL or de-duplication are conveyed clearly to the project team/stakeholders
- Execute data migration cycles as per schedule
- Coordinate and resolve ETL exceptions, as required
- Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities
- Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality, and business sign-off details
- Coordinate with PMO and Governance for managing assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data migration plan
- Provie weekly status updates against all defined activities and escalate issues in a timely manner for early resolution
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or related discipline
Minimum experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience of working in a large sized bank, with an experience on data migration, mapping and extraction, logic building, strategy planning and building
- Ability to engage clearly with representatives to explain data migration concepts
