Job Overview -Marketplace Integration Developer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marketplace Integration Developer proficient in PHP and .NET, who will be responsible for connecting our custom-built eCommerce platform with leading global marketplaces including Amazon, eBay, and Rakuten. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with third-party APIs, data synchronization, and backend development for multi-channel retail.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace API Integration
- Develop and maintain robust integrations between our eCommerce backend and marketplaces such as Amazon (SP-API/MWS), eBay (Trading and REST APIs), and Rakuten APIs.
- Automate product listings, inventory synchronization, order imports, price updates, and fulfillment tracking.
Product and Catalog Management
- Build modules to map and sync product data including titles, descriptions, images, SKUs, pricing, and stock levels with marketplace-specific schemas.
- Handle complex product structures (variants, bundles, categories) and regional catalog requirements.
Order & Fulfillment Integration
- Develop services to capture marketplace orders in real-time and push order status updates (confirmed, shipped, cancelled) back to marketplaces.
- Ensure tracking number and shipping label integration where required.
Authentication & Token Management
- Implement secure OAuth/token-based authentication flows for platforms like Amazon and eBay.
- Handle API rate limits, token refresh mechanisms, and error recovery processes.
Monitoring, Logging & Reporting
Create dashboards or log systems to track integration health, API errors, and sync activity.
Provide reporting modules for listing performance, order status, and error resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP (Laravel, CodeIgniter) and .NET (C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core).
- Proven experience integrating eCommerce systems with Amazon SP-API/MWS, eBay APIs, or Rakuten API.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API development, JSON/XML handling, and scheduled background processes (cron jobs, task schedulers).
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of eCommerce business workflows (product lifecycle, inventory management, order processing).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with marketplace compliance, product feed validation, and taxonomy mapping.
- Experience with multi-region/multi-language eCommerce systems.
- Exposure to ERP or OMS systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Amazon FBA, eBay promotions manager, or Rakuten partner center is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of frontend JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js or React) is a plus.
