The Network Engineer will support Mashreq’s Network Services team, managing the network infrastructure for Pakistan MGN COE users in both onsite and remote work environments.Key responsibilities include administration, documentation, performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and ensuring seamless network operations aligned with business needs.
- Proven experience in enterprise-level network engineering within complex IT environments.
- Deep understanding of core networking concepts including routing, switching, data centers, enterprise and campus networks.
- Strong expertise in Routing & Switching technologies and link connectivity.
- Experience in software-defined networking (SDN), network automation, and vendor-agnostic environments.
- Collaborate with vendors for outsourcing, hardware/software support, and carrier services.
- Contribute to network enhancements aligned with ICT strategic plans and business goals.
- Prepare documentation for internal teams and auditors.
- Ensure high availability and performance of the network infrastructure, meeting SLA targets.
- Administer and maintain the bank’s network systems, ensuring compliance with Mashreq’s information security policies and standards.
- Exhibit strong technical writing and reporting skills.
- Manage network platforms across all bank locations.
- Oversee network operations, ensuring SLA compliance and optimal performance.
- Enforce security policies and support audit requirements.
- Support business continuity through high-availability network solutions.
- Work with technologies including Cisco (Cloud, Datacenter, Campus), Aruba (NAC/WiFi), SolarWinds, and PRTG.

- Efficiently handle business escalations related to network issues, ensuring service quality and user satisfaction.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise IT network infrastructure; banking domain preferred.
- Expertise in Routing/Switching, cloud networking, SDN, SD-WAN, and SD-Access.
- Advanced skills in WAN routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, DMVPN, IPSEC, GRE.
- Experience in network design and architecture.
- Deep troubleshooting capabilities; proficient with Wireshark and TCP/IP stack.
- Strong hands-on with network security (802.1X, NAC, ISE, ARP inspection, port security).
- Experience with SolarWinds, PRTG, and firewall technologies.
- Familiarity with IP Telephony support.
- Cisco CCNP certification is mandatory.
