Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Work closely with internal departments to forecast future procurement needs.
- Assist in audit and compliance-related documentation for procurement activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Knowledge of supply chain procedures and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and good analytical ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
