Introduction

The Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health aims to support the introduction, scale-up and further piloting of high quality and high impact interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) in Pakistan by harnessing the potential of both public and private sectors, coupled with introduction of women and girls empowerment intervention.

This is a grant-funded contractual position.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible to supervise project activities related to field and data management to ensure quality control, while maintaining good working relationship with staff, community and various stakeholders involved. Specific responsibilities include to:
- ensure proper identification and registration of patients as per study protocol;
- supervise and monitor domiciliary visits;
- monitor and report mortality and hospital surveillance;
- monitor and report on the disease surveillance from non-project facilities (private and public sectors, and NGOs);
- provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study;
- ensure the completeness, proper filings, and archiving of the CRFs;
- ensure the double entry is done for data entry;
- preparation and compilation of study progress report;
- in collaboration with the Data Manager, produce monthly project reports;
- present the study results as per the requirement;
- to develop high quality research proposals for funding agency; conduct research and contribute in publications;
- knowledge of local health system and hierarchy;
- proficient in using word, excel, power point;
- supervise a team of research staff for regular surveillance activities;
- should be able to develop M&E framework and execute as required;
- develop and share Monthly and quarterly reports;
Willing to travel to field sites when and where required.
Requirements
You should have:
- Master is anthropology/ sociology, MBBS with MSc. in Epidemiology and Statistics / MPH / master’s in HPM/master’s in nutrition or any other relevant field would be preferred;
- two to Three years of experience in community-based research;
- basic Knowledge of survey and other research designs;
- strong interpersonal skills and communication;
- excellent Team Player;
- knowledge of Data collection, analysis and interpretation in terms of report writing and biostatics;
knowledge of Statistical programs such as SPSS.
