Introduction:
The Department of Medicine at The Aga Khan University Hospital comprises independent sections of Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. The department has over 70+ full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency Programmes are offered in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Adult Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology and Dermatology, as well as Fellowship Programmes in Clinical Neurophysiology & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Interventional Cardiology and Infectious Diseases.

You will be responsible for
- Daily ward rounds on primary patients as well as on those where nephrology consult has been sought.
- Rounding on patients coming for hemodialysis as both in patient and out patient.
- Performance of all dialysis catheters under supervision till resident is certified by the program director to place catheters independently.
- Observation and assistance in renal biopsy procedures.
- Most consultations for the Nephrology consult Service are first answered by the resident and presented to the attending.
- The resident is expected to take a history, review previous medical records, examine the patient, anatalyze all pertinent investigation and then formulate and document a detailed assessment and list of recommendations.
- The resident attends two weekly outpatient clinics with faculty.
Requirement:
- MBBS from an institution recognized by PMDC
- one year of house job or internship
- F.C.P.S. I preferred
