The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.
This is a grant-funded contractual position.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
- independently conduct data collection and take detailed field notes during visits
- manage fieldwork processes to ensure effective use of time and resources
- visit different households within the communities to ensure complete and accurate data collection
- support participant recruitment and maintain direct engagement with study participants
- coordinate with the admin team to arrange fieldwork logistics
- ensure timely and high-quality data collection across study sites
- follow and ensure proper field implementation of project-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines
- support quality assurance and data integrity throughout field activities
- collaborate closely with field teams to meet project timelines and objectives.
Requirements
You should have:
- a bachelor’s, preferably in a health-related field
- at least one year of relevant field experience
- proficiency in using computers and basic software applications
- sensitivity to cultural differences and ability to work respectfully within diverse communities
- strong time management and task prioritization skills
- ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- willingness to work actively in community settings and travel regularly to field sites.
